Wedding Dress 3D Scan.

This weekend I decided to 3D scan my wife in her wedding dress. This was a test to see how long hair would hold up in a scan. Well the hair is not a problem. The semi transparent veil on the other hand posed real issues. The good thing about my trusty Inspeck/Creaform3d scanner is that it always tries to make something of it however hard.

At least I got a rough shape of the veil on which I can later project the textures.

This scan is very much a work in progress at this stage. Lot of cleaning up to do. When done I'll sent it to shapeways.com and order  a nice 3D print. Possibly in color if my test 3D mini-me turns out acceptable.
